You are like a $100 note.
This is a story I’ve come across several times. It goes like this…
Imagine I have a $100 note. Who wouldn’t want a $100 note??
Now imagine I’ve crumpled up that $100.
Has it’s value changed?
No, it’s still $100.
Now imagine I’ve dropped it on the floor, I’ve got my dirty shoe and ground that $100 note into the ground.
Has it’s value changed?
No, it’s still $100.
What’s the point of this story?
In a nutshell, the point is it doesn’t matter what happens to that $100 note, its value doesn’t change.
You are a $100 note – your value does not change no matter what happens to you.
It doesn’t change if you are let down, rejected, put down, bullied, criticised.
Even if you don’t think you have value – you do.
Because you’re more amazing than you think you are.
You always have been and you always will be.
