I’m currently in the process of editing my 145,000-word memoir on my experience with self-doubt, emotional abuse and walking the 3,000km (1,864 mile) Te Araroa Trail down the length of New Zealand. Watch this space for its publication.
Meanwhile, I have also written:

My fiancé has written a book about our experience sailing for three and a half months around the coast of Great Britain.
“A Voyage Around Britain in a Small Yacht”
ebook and paper back available for purchase on Amazon.
This is an honest account of our cruise around mainland Britain during the summer of 2022. The yacht was a Twister design, built in 1980 and measuring 28ft in length. The crew were myself as skipper with many years sailing experience, mostly coastal sailing in the UK, and my fiancé who had practically no experience. The trip started on England’s east coast and progressed clockwise along the south coast, past Land’s End, to Wales, the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Scotland, around Cape Wrath, to the Orkneys and along the east coast back to the starting point, 63 ports of call. This book covers the background to the trip, the purchase and preparation of the boat and the cruise itself. It covers all aspects of sailing – the charts, the electronics, the mistakes, the navigation, tiredness and frustration; it is not a day-b- day log of the cruise or a record of what to see at each harbour. It has been written to give an honest insight into what it is actually like to spend 114 days on a small boat at sea where the weather and the tide rule your life. This book is suitable for anyone interested in sailing and the sea, especially those who have always dreamt of a similar voyage, whether as skipper or crew. Get your copy here.
