Your wellbeing and worth is not dependent on…
1) The number of followers or likes on your social media feed
2) Your job
3) Your achievements
4) How much money you earn
5) Your relationship status
6) Your waist, hip, bust measurements
7) Where you live
8) Who you hang out with
9) The car you drive
10) Your health
11) What other people think about you
12) The negative self-limiting beliefs you have about yourself
The truth is wellbeing and self-worth comes from within us and not from things or achievements that are outside ourselves.
It’s why you can be super rich and still not be happy. Why you can be a size 8 and still not feel confident. Why you can have the dream job and all the accolades and still feel like a fraud or not good enough.
The truth is wellbeing and self-worth are an intrinsic part of our nature. A constant that never fluctuates with external circumstances.
But what happens is we get sucked in by marketing and cultural expectations and what our fearful ego mind is telling us so we forget how awesome we actually are and instead we look outside ourselves to find our awesomeness – but we will never find it out there.
We can only ever find it inside us.
And what that means is we have the ability to feel good about ourselves RIGHT THIS MINUTE – even if the odds are stacked against us, even if we’re in the red, even if we’re overweight, even if we don’t have a flash car or a nice house of the “right” job or a significant other.
Because we are amazing no matter what.
Even if we don’t feel like it, we are still awesome just by virtue of being US. That is the truth.
And we are OK because deep down inside we are everything and we are stronger, more capable and more resilient than we realise.
