What is adventure?
We often jump to thinking of big things like climbing mountains or trekking across Antarctica.
We associate it with the common definition that it’s something risky or dangerous.
I would beg to differ.
Because what an adventure is for one person might not be an adventure for another.
Adventure is relative.
It doesn’t have to be big. It doesn’t have to be scary or dangerous.
And that means anything can be an adventure.
Personally I tend to think of it as anything new that pushes me outside my comfort zone.
But really it’s a mindset.
It’s about curiosity. A sense of exploration and a child-like sense of wonder. The scope for growth or learning. Living in the now and experiencing the present in all its warts and beauty.
It’s a way of living. It’s a way of life.
Deep down, we’re all adventurers.
So what adventure are you on?
PS – Through writing and speaking I empower people to believe in themselves so they can be the person they want to be and achieve their dreams. I point to the truth that we are stronger, more capable and more awesome than we think we are.
