Three reasons why you keep feeling stuck

Got a goal but feeling stuck?

It’s normal. It happens to all of us.

Here’s three main reasons why you feel this way…

1) Overwhelm and over thinking

Maybe you don’t know what to do, you’re worrying about making decisions or maybe you’re scared or doubting yourself.

When we start over thinking and focusing on lack, negativity, everything that’s wrong or not working and “shoulding” ourselves over what we think we “should” be doing or how we “should” be better, we get overwhelmed and spiral down that rabbit hole.

And when we do that we occupy a space where the answers from our inner wisdom can’t get through to us to tell us how to unstuck ourselves.

When we listen to our ego and all it’s chatter that’s when we feel stuck.

2) Secondary gains

As inconvenient as the truth is, we can often find ourselves stuck because we “benefit” by default.

By staying stuck we might be choosing to avoid the unpleasant feeling of stepping outside our comfort zone like making ourselves more visible on social media, risking rejection from a sales call or judgement from others.

We might be subconsciously choosing to stay stuck to avoid the prospect of failing and what that might mean.

3) Believing our fears and worries are real

Change naturally causes our ego to go into overdrive and come up with a host of fears and worries to keep us in our comfort zone and stuck.

It’s the greatest magic trick going as we have a tendency to believe those fears and worries to be real and true.

But they aren’t.

It’s just our primitive part of our brain trying to keep us safe.

Our fears and worries actually say nothing about what will happen in the future and they certainly say nothing about how strong, capable and amazing you really are.

The truth is we are only stuck for as long as we believe we are.
