This time next week I’ll be leaving the UK and returning to New Zealand… for two years. 😮
My British fiance got his two-year visa for New Zealand and we get married over there in March so it was a “why not” moment. Life is for living right?
I’ve been in the UK for 17 years now – that’s over a third of my life.
And while I love it here, New Zealand is always classed as home and since Covid, I’ve felt the distance from my parents.
Now I know the grass will not necessarily be greener on the other side – a lot has changed in 17 years (myself included) and “taking a leap into the unknown” and “starting again” will potentially have their moments.
I’ve already bored myself silly with all the what ifs.
Who knows what the move will bring. Will it be the right decision? Will it work out?
That’s the beauty of the future – we don’t know because we can’t predict it.
But we can show up and we can create and live a life we want. We can look for opportunities and we can make the most of the amazing creative potential we are gifted with.
But importantly, we can always change our mind.
So here’s to courage and taking action in the face of fear. Here’s to taking a leap into the unknown. And here’s to the knowledge that we can cope no matter what is thrown at us.
PS – I’ll still be growing my life coaching business while in New Zealand and accepting clients from different time zones, as well doing as some freelance journalism on the side (and hopefully finishing my book about walking the length of New Zealand).
PPS – If you know someone who might benefit from coaching or this post, please share!
