Vlog 2 #normalisefailure – failing to meet expectations

July 4, 2019 / katrinamegget / Leave a comment

Epic fail – I should have done this vlog almost two weeks ago, and I’ve been beating myself up about it ever since.

Funny isn’t it how we think we are a failure when we don’t meet the made-up expectations we put on ourselves.

Here’s my second vlog as I try to #normalisefailure. Continue reading →

Looking back at January and those goals (not resolutions)

February 4, 2017March 30, 2018 / katrinamegget / Leave a comment

Is it just me or do you feel like 2017 is just flying by?

January, zoom, it’s been and gone. One 12th of the year already over. And what have I got to show for it? Continue reading →

And the photos from my modelling shoot are in! Have finally been able to bin my more than 10 years old LinkedIn profile photo. Thanks to the awesome and hugely talented @ndepree for his snapping skills. I totally recommend him if anyone needs a photographer. www.instagram.com/ndepree/ http://ndepree.com #modelling #photography #photographer #photo #profilepictures
Back in the English countryside after my seven and a half months in New Zealand for #WalkNZ. Weirdly enough I sort of missed it. And so I enjoyed my 15km walk through the English countryside today - the greatest distance I've walked since my injury. The differences between England and New Zealand are interesting though - the forests and land in both countries feel old. In England that comes with history, it seeps out of the medieval trees, the ancient pilgrim ways. Tales of battles and kingdoms. But in New Zealand it's prehistoric, unblemished by humans. Turn a corner and I could just imagine a dinosaur coming out from behind a tree. Despite the differences, both are beautiful in their own way. #englishcountryside #NewZealand #walking #natureatitsbest #nature #getoutside
I'm actually a little sad that in a week's time I'll be leaving the family holiday home after I escaped here to sort my head out and recover from my knee injury that put paid to completing the Te Araroa Trail this season. I've had two glorious week's here. Not sure if I'm fully revived and recovered but little steps. #kapiticoast #pukeruabay #beach #sunset #teararoa #teararoatrail #NewZealand #hiking

A couple of years ago I walked in the Nelson Lakes mountains in New Zealand and was totally blown away - Snowdonia on steroids. Here's a selection of pics from this weekend before I had to bail due to weather and my bung leg. #WalkNZ #teararoa #teararoatrail #NewZealand #nelsonlakes #Snowdonia #walking #hiking #adventure #getoutside #outdoors #outdoorbloggers
